CPF account interest rates
These are statutory floors, not market rates. They are set by the Government and can change at each review.
The SA/MA/RA floor has been extended through 31 December 2026. The OA floor has stood at 2.5% since 1999 and has no published end date.
Extra interest applies on the first S$60,000 of combined balances, and a further tier applies from age 55. The exact tiers are set by CPF Board — check the official page for your own position.
| Account | Rate |
|---|---|
| Ordinary Account (OA) | 2.5% p.a. |
| Special / MediSave / Retirement (SA · MA · RA) | 4.0% p.a. |
SRS — what the scheme does
Contribution caps, relief amounts and withdrawal rules are set by IRAS and change from time to time. This page does not state figures we have not verified against the current IRAS publication. Check IRAS directly for the amounts that apply to you.
The Supplementary Retirement Scheme is a voluntary scheme with tax relief on contributions, subject to an annual cap that differs for citizens and permanent residents versus foreign nationals.
Withdrawals are treated differently depending on whether they are taken after the statutory retirement age and whether they are spread over the permitted window.
CPFIS — investing CPF savings
We do not reproduce the approved list here. It changes, and the authoritative version is the one published by CPF Board.
The CPF Investment Scheme allows CPF savings to be used for certain investments, but only within limits and only for investments on the CPF Board's approved list.
The approved list and the applicable limits are published by CPF Board. Any list reproduced elsewhere is out of date the moment it changes.
What this page does not tell you
- It does not tell you whether to buy a T-bill, an SSB or anything else.
- It does not tell you what future auction yields will be — they are set by bidding at each auction.
- It does not state SRS amounts or CPFIS limits we have not verified against the current official publication.
- It does not account for your own circumstances, tax position or objectives.
What you get in the group
- Changes pushed to you. T-bill auction results, SSB issues, SORA moves, dividend dates and earnings results — each one sent when it is published, with the official source and the date it applied.
- Rules looked up, not decided for you. Ask what a scheme actually allows and you get the official publication and where the rule sits — not a view on what you should do.
- The same information, read together. Discussion about how to read public information, where disagreement is normal.
- One sourcing standard. Official sources first, a date on every figure, estimates labelled as estimates, and corrections made in the open.
What the group does not have:
- Buy or sell recommendations, target prices or position sizing
- Return promises of any kind
- Stock picks or individual case analysis
- Placing orders or handling money on your behalf
- Anything paid, sponsored or paid for by referral
Free to join. No payment details, no account and no portfolio information are requested.
